This is my first wedding since Ethan was born and I was so excited to get creative again with flowers. This bouquet has deep red and burnt orange roses with touches of green hypericum and frescia. Hope the lovely bride had a lovely day!
Another great coffee table! I'm always keeping my eyes open for beautiful coffee tables...now I'm ready for another. If you want one let me know as they are going really fast! $60
My little sister had her sweet 16th birthday. We spent the day in Vancouver shopping! Had so much fun and bought some cute stuff too! I made her this arrangement of orange and green with a touch of bling!
This is a great idea for putting away those stuffed animals and it looks good. I found this fish net at a quaint little shop in Salt Spring Island... we may need to make a family trip to pick up some more good finds.
Today I went to Ikea with a good friend and Ethan of course! I decided I needed to commit and finish James' room. I'm going for a vintage beach look. I purchased the 2 expedit bookcases in black/brown. They are great for storage for kids toys as well you can display the nicer things on top where the little hands can't reach. Ikea was out of the white baskets (on the bottom left) so I have to make another trip to get those.... too bad. Next project is the window treatment!
I'm looking for my own Mary Poppins to drop out of the sky and land on my front porch! Ben and I have come into some really exciting new adventures which will require a nanny for 3 days a week. Wish me luck in my hunting!
Oh how I love peonies... except for their short season. Right now I'm putting peonies in every vase I can find. Speaking of finds! Check out this beautiful jug found at Wal-mart. Yup, I said Wal-mart. Better go out and get some before I buy them out.
All right, so my friend Cristie is telling me to keep updating. So this is me updating my blog. I just finished refinishing a beautiful dining table and a buffet and hutch. I will post pictures tomorrow as I'm currently waiting for my wonderful hubby to come back from Home Depot with my hardware. I'm also in the process of refinishing a rocking chair in white, can't wait for that one to be finished it was a rare find! I'll keep you posted.
Here's an idea for what you can do to add some beauty but to keep it simplistic. Using glass and white objects keep it simple but still elegant with out adding clutter. I always like to add some flower's to keep things fresh. Choosing flowers that are in season is the most cost effective way to go. In this photo I chose white lilac's.
I have a wonderful husband and 2 beautiful boys under the age of 2. I have a strong background in floral and interior design. I love being surrounded by beauty and try my best to create a beautiful atmosphere.
